It's a matter of national security, a safeguard of our borders, and a keystone in ensuring the free flow of commerce that fuels our economy.

 Hello! My name is Jesibell Espejo, I’m an undergraduate student at the University of Connecticut pursuing a degree in Political Science with a dual minor in Human Rights and Anthropology of Global Health.
My academic journey has been shaped by a strong commitment to advocacy and welfare policy. Through in-depth studies in Political Science, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of governance structures, policies, and their impact on communities. This foundation has equipped me with a unique perspective on the intersection of policy, culture, and welfare on a global scale. More specifically, I’m interested in studying and working with housing inequalities, and food insecurities within the United States. Growing up in New York I was surrounded by all of these problems, and seeing all of this from such a young age has motivated me to pursue a career in advocacy and public policy. As for the CWOA, I’m very excited to further educate myself on the issues at hand when it comes to the welfare and needs of the United States Coast Guard's former and current officers, as well as bring my knowledge and skills to your organization, advocate on your behalf, help bring your issues to the forefront and help your voices be heard. |
