THE ASSOCIATION IN THE POST-WOMA ERA

The latter half of the 1990s marked a period of consolidation, modernization, and strategic positioning for the Chief Warrant and Warrant Officers Association. Having successfully navigated the Warrant Officer Management Act debate and preserved the Coast Guard’s unique warrant officer structure, the Association entered the mid-1990s focused less on defensive action and more on long-term stability, professional development, and institutional continuity.
