I am honored to introduce myself as a candidate for Treasurer of the Chief Warrant and Warrant Officers Association (CWOA). My name is CWO2 Brandi Ingram, and I am excited for the opportunity to contribute to the financial health and sustainability of our organization. With years of experience in leadership, financial management, and service within the CWOA, I am eager to step into this role and help drive the success of our association.
Experience and Commitment to the CWOA Currently, I serve at Coast Guard District Eight, C5I and Security Branch, where I manage communications, cyber capabilities, and command security operations across the largest Coast Guard district—spanning 26 states, 2 international borders, and over 11,500 miles of rivers and coastline. I am responsible for overseeing key budgetary and resource allocation decisions, a skill set I intend to bring to the role of CWOA Treasurer. Since enlisting in the United States Coast Guard in March 2008, I have served in a variety of assignments, including: ✅ CG Sector Mobile (AL) ✅ CG Sector Jacksonville (FL) ✅ CGC TAHOMA (WMEC-908) (NH) ✅ Command Center School (VA) ✅ CG Sector Charleston (SC) ✅ Operations Specialist "A" School (CA) ✅ CG Station Depoe Bay (OR) Throughout my career, I have pursued continuous professional development, earning certifications in Leadership and Ethics, Command Security, Finance & Budget Management, and Instructor Development. I am a graduate of the Chief Warrant Officer Professional Development Course, Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Academy, Air Force Airman Leadership School, and several mission-critical security, command, and finance courses. Why I Am Running for Treasurer My passion for serving the CWOA and its members led me to become President of the CWOA New Orleans Chapter, where I have worked to support, connect, and mentor fellow Chief Warrant Officers. Additionally, I have represented our chapter on the Executive Committee, gaining valuable insight into the financial and administrative responsibilities that ensure our organization thrives. As Treasurer, my primary goals will be: 1️⃣ Ensuring Financial Stability – Overseeing the association’s finances with integrity, transparency, and long-term sustainability in mind. 2️⃣ Enhancing Budget Oversight – Leveraging my experience in Coast Guard financial management to ensure that CWOA resources are effectively allocated and utilized. 3️⃣ Increasing Financial Transparency – Keeping members informed about the financial health of our association and ensuring responsible stewardship of funds. A Vision for the Future My vision for the CWOA is to ensure that our association remains a vibrant, financially sound, and relevant voice for Chief Warrant Officers. By working closely with the CWOA leadership team and our members, I will help shape strategic financial planning initiatives that support our mission, programs, and advocacy efforts. Beyond my Coast Guard service, I am also a proud mother and military spouse. My husband, a recently retired Chief Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force, has been a constant source of encouragement throughout my career. Our family understands the importance of military community and support, and I bring that same dedication to serving and strengthening the CWOA. I appreciate your consideration and support in this election. If elected, I will bring commitment, experience, and financial stewardship to the role of Treasurer, ensuring that the CWOA continues to serve and advocate for our members effectively.
